THE STORY SO FAR… Mark has been
playing keyboards since 1979 and turned professional at the age of 15. Following organ training at a local shop Mark developed
a flare for improvisation at an early age.
Mark started performing at school concerts,
on one occasion raising a large sum of money for the ‘Blue Peter Weather Beater’ Appeal. He also played at his
parents’ Social Club over the Christmas period.
During the years that followed school
Mark entered several competitions becoming a finalist in Yamaha’s Electone Festival over four consecutive years. In
1988 Mark won the junior Section of the Radio WM Amateur Keyboard Contest. Mark’s music was recorded in the studio and
featured in a one-hour radio show later that year.
Since turning professional Mark has performed
solo (as Keyboard Player & Vocalist) as well as in various line-ups. Mark toured the UK with the ‘West End In Concert’
Production show in 2000. Other contracts include hotels in Finland in 1994, a residency in Brighton in 1995 and cruise work
for Royal Caribbean from 2004 to 2007 cruising Alaska, The Mediterranean and The Caribbean.
Mark has been a band member in several
bands including: Havanna Gold, Prestige, On The Rocks, Back 2 Miami, Bluestack, Soirée, Badonkadonk, The Rhythm Junkies and
now THE SHARKS
